Notecard Simple Scissors Loom!!!
Requires Two 3 by 5 inch notecards, a skein of yarn, a chopstick or pencil or stick, and scissors

Okay put a three by five inch notecard on the screen and trace the lines.
IMPORTANT: please do not press hard on your LCD monitor with ball-point pen or ice-pick or anything to trace this shape. I suggest lightly tracing with a soft mechanical pencil, or felt-tip pen, or if you can put cardstock through your printer you may want to go to craftzine.com and make the full-size version!
If the scale is wrong (darn screen resolutions!) drag the picture out of your browser and re-scale in Preview or some image software.
You should be able to resize the window and then choose scale to fit from some menu right?
first fold the notecard along the dashed line, hotdog-style.
With the card folded, cut out the diamonds out with scissors.
Next cut the lines between the diamonds and bend them up to cut these slots!
Unfold the card, this is your loom!
Measure out your warp yarn, 12 times around your forearm like an extension cord, and cut the strands apart at the top of the loop.
Feed each of the 12 strands through the slots and diamonds in the loom.
Take the end of the bundle from the back of the loom and tie all the strings together in a big knot.
Tie another string around the knot at the end of the strings and use that string to secure them to a chair, doorknob, patient friend...
Take two or three strings on each edge and tie them to your stick so that they are pretty evenly taut.
Hook the stick into your belt loops as pictured, or tie it with a string going around your back. With the edge threads held tight, tie the middle ones to match.
Now get out your other notecard and make your shuttle, by folding it in half and cutting notches in either end, and wind some yarn around it as pictured!
With the card loom pulled up, lifting the threads that are through the diamonds above those in the slots, pass the shuttle through the space formed between them.
Pull the card down and pass the shuttle back through. It is now going above the thread that is through the diamonds and below that in the slots.
For these steps it is important that you are holding the yarns tight by pulling your body away from the chair or doorknob or whatever. Oh, hey look at the little bit of cloth I wove! If you make it with wool and wash it I bet it'll shrink together and look real cool.
